Within a single frame CHARPENTE, made in 1990, presents a natural landscape submitted to the markings of time. By way of a certain impressionism, several “atmospheres” are inspired. The landscape responds to the natural lights of day and night, the changing of seasons, and other pictorial alterations resulting from different photographic and cinematographic procedures using film exclusively. This short film has a double objective: a technical and formal exploration of the film medium as a form of expression for reflections on the future of our environment.
